WHAT IS BAPTISM? Baptism is a public declaration of faith for the individual who has received Christ’s saving work and become His disciple. Disciples are baptized by water immersion following Christ's example (Mark 1:9-13) as an act of obedience (Matthew 28:18-20) and a testimony of faith to oneself, the church, and God that they are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) and that they desire to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). Our next baptisms will take place on Easter.
Each person being baptized will be given a few seconds to share about why they want to be baptized that day. There will be a slide on the screen with a picture of you and your baptism verse. You will be baptized by a pastor/elder, but you may also have a discipler you are close with join in to be a part of baptizing you. Such as a parent, friend, GC leader, etc.
WHAT'S NEXT? Please fill out the registration form.
You will be contacted by a pastor/elder before Easter.
For the first time, SGC is hosting a Community Easter Egg Hunt at Dessie, and we can’t wait to share a fun-filled day with kids and families!

We’re praying this will be a joyful and memorable event, and we’d love your help spreading the word and inviting others to join us.
Let’s make this a special day for our community — one filled with laughter, connection, and the joy of Easter that kids and families will remember!

This Lent, journey together as a family through the stories of some of the very first Christians—Mary, Peter, Stephen, and Paul—who encountered the good news of Jesus and were transformed forever. Written by our elders, these devotionals explore who they were, where we meet them in Scripture, how they responded in faith to the gospel, and how they boldly shared it with others. May they remind your family of the resurrection promise and the good news we are invited to proclaim: “The King is Alive!”
We will have printed copies available to pick up at church on Sunday 3/1 & 3/8. We’ll also have coloring books and activity kits available for kids to do along with each devotional.
Let Jen know if you have any questions by emailing her at jen@sufficientgracechurch.com.
Starting February 23, Sufficient Grace Church will partner with Celebration Church entering a 6-week fast and prayer journey leading up to Easter. Each Monday we’ll fast from food until dinner, using our meal times to pray for God’s movement in our hearts and community.
After the fast, join us for community prayer at Celebration Church 6:30-7:30pm. Childcare will be available. Please register to volunteer HERE
This fast is an opportunity to seek more of God’s grace and ask for the salvation of those far from Him. If fasting from food isn’t an option for you, choose an alternative like social media or caffeine.
If you would like any resources on fasting, we would recommend Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald S. Whitney and Habits of Grace by David Mathis.
Let’s come together, seek God’s grace, and make our hearts ready for Easter!
